- BALI Megarupa Exhibition will be held again to give artists the opportunity to showcase their works
- On the other hand, this will be an alluring art attraction for tourists because they can see various modern and contemporary Balinese art works
The Bali tourism industry will be enlivened again with the presence of an art attraction that is a pity to miss, namely the annual Bali Megarupa Exhibition that will take place on October 9-23, 2022.
This Bali Megarupa Exhibition is an integral part of the Bali Contemporary Arts Festival (BCAF) which is fully dedicated to accommodate modern and contemporary multifaceted art that is also in line with the meaning of the title “𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗨-𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗨-𝗪𝗔𝗞𝗧𝗨” (Universe Creates Literary Look). This theme is also in line with the Bali Contemporary Art Festival (BCAF) 2022 with the theme “Jaladhara Sasmita Danu Kerthi” (Water as the Source of Civilization).
During this post-pandemic tourism recovery period, Bali Megarupa Exhibition is here to accommodate various works of art such as paintings, sculptures, photography, crafts, ceramics, installations, and video art. This exhibition is held through two curation schemes, namely the invitation of artists and an open invitation (open call).
All artists, whether invited or participating in an open call, are welcome to explore all possibilities of experiencing, interpreting, and/or celebrating the Water thematic in all Niskala-Sakala (physical and psychical) dimensions.
Three art figures who act as curators who assess all the works of art to be exhibited in this grand art event are Prof. Dr. Wayan Kun Adnyana, Anak Agung Gde Rai and Prof. Adrian Vickers.
Meanwhile, the venues for this simultaneous exhibition are in four well-known locations, namely the Puri Lukisan Museum (Ubud), Neka Museum (Ubud), Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA Ubud) and Kriya Building (Bali Art Center, Denpasar).
