NICKNAMED as the Last Paradise, Bali seems never to be devoid of the excitement of its cultural activities dedicated to Gods, nature and its community. This June, Bali Provincial Government will return to hold its biggest arts celebration, namely the Bali Arts Festival (BAF) 2024.
This 46th arts extravaganza of Bali will take place from June 15 to July 13, 2024. Certainly, it will pamper and entertain visitors with various artistic and stunning presentations.
What can you see and enjoy there?
At least, there are 10 types of cultural activities that will fill in the Bali Arts Festival (BAF) 2024 agenda. In general, there are 14 Wimbakara–featuring various arts and cultural competition events; Widyatula–cultural symposium; 60 Rekasadana–Filled with various arts and cultural performances from all cities & districts in Bali; Kandarupa–Art exhibition that explores the uniqueness of art and culture; 47 Utsawa–Parade which takes various themes of Balinese art and culture; Peed Aya–Bali Arts Festival Parade; Adhi Sewaka Nugraha—Presentation of awards to cultural figures as devotees of the arts; 2 Balinese Tradition Jantra–Regional cultural week; 8 Bali World Culture Celebration–A celebration of world culture; as well as 3 Kriyaloka—Workshops that raise cultural themes.
Almost all of the BAF activities o will be centered at the Bali Art Center (Taman Budaya) located on Jalan Nusa Indah, Denpasar. Several open and closed stages are ready to accommodate this annual arts activity.
This art extravaganza will really pamper visitors because in a day there will be several events from morning to evening according to schedule and there are even events that take place simultaneously in different places during the day. Below are some interesting points highlighting the festival.
- Spectacular Opening Parade
BAF 2024 will open with a grand parade involving thousands of local, foreign and foreign artists featuring rows of traditional costumes, typical Balinese dances and rhythmic gamelan music.
