TRAVELERS may have surely known that Gianyar (Bali) always has something to see or visit. Various products of handicraft, culinary tradition, painting, carving dan dance dynamically evolve through the times. Thank to creative and innovative artists, visitors ultimately never get bored to come.

Last April, the Gianyar town celebrated its 244th anniversary. Many cultural activities including competitions were organized to grace the celebration. Similarly, face of the town looks remarkably festive as embellished with hundreds of beautiful penjor in the center of the town.

After the celebration virtually all the decorations have been demolished. As consequence, everything seems to have returned to normal condition. Civil servants have re-focused on their regular duties to serve the public; traders support the economic activities and so forth. It short, the atmosphere of celebration seems to have gone.

However, when passing through the town at night, you will not only encounter the hustles and bustles of the night market offering a wide

variety of delicious cuisines, plant seedlings and many more. In the east of the town center or precisely at the roadside near the Astina Public Square you will observe colorful lights embellishing the trees (Jun. 6). Such beautiful and colorful lights will tease road users to stop for a while and have a closer look at the lights or even snap them by using hand phone camera.
