- The G20 Summit involving 20 developing and developed countries will be held in Bali next November
- This great MICE event also gives delegates and their family members the opportunity to explore the alluring destinations of Indonesia
On November 15-16 Indonesia will host a major MICE event, namely the G20 Summit, which will be held in Bali or the Island of the Gods. A series of preceding meeting has been held in some big cities across Indonesia.
The G20 is a forum for international cooperation consisting of countries with the world’s largest economies. Therefore, the G20 plays an important role in determining the future of world’s economic growth because G20 members represent more than 80 percent of the world economy, 75 percent of international trade and 60 percent of the world’s population.
As the name suggests, the G20 group consists of 19 major countries and the European Union. These countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, UK and the USA.
The G20 Presidency’s theme is Recover Together, Recover Stronger—through this theme, Indonesia wants to invite all countries in the world to help one another so that they can recover together quickly and grow stronger and more sustainable.
The logo is inspired by the kawung batik motif and the silhouette of the gunungan (mountain) in puppet performing arts. Broadly speaking, the logo means that through the G20 Presidency, Indonesia is ready to use this moment as a milestone towards an inclusive and sustainable global economic recovery.
Priority Issues
There are three priority issues discussed in this global event, namely health architecture, digital transformation and sustainable energy transition
The 17th G20 Summit will be held in Bali on November 15-16, 2022. This event will be the culmination of a series of intensive activities from the entire G20 workflow (Ministerial Meetings, Working Groups, and Engagement Groups) during the year of chairmanship of Indonesia. A series of (about 157) meetings have been held in the previous months in several cities in the country in the form of main events and side events.
Delegates who invite their family members will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and rich culture of Indonesia through 6 Highlight Destinations such as Bali, Lombok, Labuan, Bajo, Lake Toba, Yogyakarta and Belitung plus other destinations.
