DOMESTIC and foreign tourists may have missed a vacation to the Island of the Gods. However, considering the pandemic conditions, every measure must be considered in terms of health and safety aspects related to the potential spread of Covid-19.
Some measures taken for the recovery of the tourism sector are vaccination, Cleanliness Safety Health Environmental Sustainability (CSHE) certification and the application of strict health protocols such as the use of masks, washing hands with soap and running water as well as maintaining social distance and various supporting protocols for its derivatives.
First of all, the Island of the Gods has prepared three areas as green zones that are opened to tourist visits, namely Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Dua. The three regions will apply health protocols very strictly and carry out all the specified requirements.
As the next measure, the central government through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will roll out the Work From Bali (WFB) policy and will be launched in July 2021 in stages. This effort is expected to accelerate the recovery of the tourism sector and the creative economy in Bali.
According to Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (MTCE), domestic tourists who came to Bali via Ngurah Rai Airport in January reached 2,500 visits. Meanwhile, in the first week of June, the visits to Bali increased 3 times to 7,000-7,500. This policy will continue to be prepared in the third quarter as described in a recentpress release.
Of course, this interesting policy can be used after getting tired of implementing Work from Home. Visitors will feel the thrill of Work From Bali (WFB) while enjoying the natural beauty of Bali with all its cultural diversity which has become the main attraction.
Surely it is a good opportunity for the millennial generation or those who are young at heart aspiring to work while enjoying a holiday to one of the world’s best destinations. In addition to working in a new and calm atmosphere, working from Bali can be a moment for you to refresh and unwind after engaging in hustles and bustles in a big city.
He also explained that the WFB concept can certainly be applied to other tourist destinations in Indonesia such as Work from Lombok, Work from Bajo, Work from Toba, Work form Likupang, Work from Borobudur and so on. The concept follows a new pattern of working habits or remote working which was popularized with the concept of digital nomads.
