LOVINA Beach is a coastal area about 15 km west of the town of Singaraja. Singaraja is the capital of Buleleng District, in the North Bali area. This destination in Buleleng is about 80 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
The Lovina area is adjacent to stunning small villages (from east to west) such as Pemaron, Tukad Mungga, Anturan, Banyualit, Kalibukbuk, Kaliasem and Temukus. Lovina is becoming more popular among tourists seeking serenity as an alternative to tourist resorts in Southern Bali.
Lovina Beach, which has black sand, is quite beautiful and suitable for exploring on foot at a leisurely pace. Compared to conditions in Southern Bali, the sea here is quite calm and safe for swimming.
Facilities
The Lovina area has been equipped with adequate tourist accommodation such as hotels and villas along with other supporting facilities such as restaurants, bars, spas, money changers, swimming pools and recreational parks.
So if you decide to stay in the Lovina Beach area, it will mutually complete your experience while traveling on the Island of the Gods after exploring the charms of Southern Bali and the Ubud area.
Apart from taking a walk along the beach or swimming, you can also sit back and enjoy the sea breezes on the beach in the afternoon while drinking and relaxing.
Optional Tours
Well, this Lovina Beach area can be your tourist hub to further explore the beauty that North Bali has to offer. As reference, you can consider the following destinations:
Pemuteran Bay, located in the Northwest of Bali, is a favorite diving and snorkeling spot. Besides, there is a well-known biorock project overseen by the Karang Lestari Foundation. This bay has the largest shallow coral reef area in Bali due to the calm waves all year round. The project, which started in 2000, brings together tourism stakeholders to jointly preserve and develop the marine area here.
Watching dolphin attractions on Lovina Beach is one of the interesting natural attractions in North Bali. The character of the calm sea waters is very much liked by the dolphins. Early in the morning local fishermen with their traditional boats have departed to take tourists to watch dolphins dancing in their habitat. Each boat can accommodate up to five or six people.
This natural hot spring tourist attraction is located in the hills of Banjar Village, about 5 km from Lovina Beach. This natural hot spring is arranged in three terraced pools and is decorated with a beautiful tropical garden. The water temperature is very pleasant and has a high sulfur content. Then, you can choose a location to soak in the appropriate pool. Changing rooms, lockers as well as spa and massage facilities are also provided on site.
- Brahmavihara Arama
Better known as Vihara Banjar, this Buddhist temple is located at Banjar Village and Subdistrict and was opened in 1971. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Bali and is enriched with many meditation halls, libraries and a replica of the magnificent Borobudur temple. This monastery has also been opened as a religious tourist object since 1973.
- Lake Buyan and Tamblingan
Also known as the twin lakes, both are only separated by a tropical rainforest hill with a span of about one kilometer. There is also a narrow canal connecting both lakes. Several times, they have hosted the Twin Lakes Festival held by the Buleleng Regency Government.
