Labuan Bajo can be said to be a newly developed destination in eastern Indonesia. To be precise, Labuan Bajo Village is located in Komodo Subdistrict, West Manggarai District, East Nusa Tenggara Province. It borders with West Nusa Tenggara and is separated by the Sape Strait.

Labuan Bajo is one of five Super Priority Destinations being intensively developed by the Indonesian government, other than Borobudur (Central Java), Lake Toba (North Sumatea), Mandalika (West Nusa Tenggara) and Likupang (North Sulawesi).

The Labuan Bajo area is a strategic spot to enjoy the beauty of the sunset, not far from Komodo International Airport. Just choose, the destination of Bukit Cinta, Puncak Amelia, and Puncak Silvia, to capture the magnificent sunset here.

In 1991, Komodo National Park was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes Komodo Island, Rinca Island, Padar Island, and several surrounding islands. One more spot that must be visited is Pink Beach or known as Pantai Merah by local people. The spread of pink sand is really tempting. Why is the sand on this beach pink? It is said, the pink color comes from microorganisms called Foraminifera and after that they give red pigment to coral. Furthermore, the corals are carried by the waves to the coast. Arriving at the beach, they wexe crushed into flakes and fine grains which are now pink beach sand.
